The Checkers app for iOS has recently been updated, offering an enhanced experience for players. With the new turn-based multiplayer feature, you can now challenge your friends or play against random opponents using Game Center.

Checkers Free supports both 1 player and 2 player gameplay, allowing you to compete against your friends or test your skills against a challenging computer opponent.

The addition of the turn-based network play feature is a great addition, as it enables you to participate in up to 16 simultaneous network games with Game Center friends or random opponents. This can be done over Wi-Fi or 3G, providing flexibility and convenience.

Checkers Free boasts several exciting features, including impressive graphics and sound effects, configurable player names and score tracking, and an exceptional AI engine developed by respected AI researcher Martin Fierz. Furthermore, the difficulty level for 1 player mode is fully customizable, and an undo function is available for more strategic gameplay.

In addition, players have the option to enable or disable forced captures, ensuring a tailored gaming experience. The app also automatically saves your progress when you exit or receive a phone call.

It's worth noting that Checkers Free adheres to the rules of American Checkers / English Draughts.

While Checkers Free does have banner advertising, it remains unobtrusive. For those who prefer an ad-free experience, Checkers Premium offers the same great features without any ads.
